My new (to me anyway :D ) TD5 seems noisy when driving, the best way I can describe the noise is it sounds like a door or window isn't closed properly.(Yes I have checked the doors and windows.. ) Anyone else had / cured this fault ??
Apart from that, love it.... :D

Might be worth checking the door seals are seated correctly, I had it where the RHR door seal had lifted allowing wind noise to enter, it sounded like the door was closed properly, a quick bang down and it was sorted.
Worth checking.

Thanks, I'll give them all a check.

I find the Climair deflectors donm't allow the windows to close properly, plus having a CB ariel go through a door seal has the same effect.
The door seals relax over a period and deform to their closed shape, I've found in the past if you disturb them they stop sealing too, smetimes if yo fit them more securely than they were fitted originally this causes the same problem.
If only takes a tuny gap.
Try smearing a rubber cleaning solution like Auto Glym rubber carte on the rubber, close the door and look for a witness mark all around. I'd say use vasaline as it works better but you'd have to clean it back off.

Hi,
I had this on our TD5 when we first got it, drove me nuts :x :)
I eventually cured it by adjusting the rear passenger (on drivers side) window frame, with the torks headed screws near the lock case. It wasn't quite sealing it's self to the rubber seal so giving the impression that a window was open...
