Rear wiper got slower and slower now wont work.
Took it to bits shaft siezed, freed it, still wont work, checked Earth, Fuse ( No 18), no power getting to the motor.
Any ideas?

Is there a fuseable link? fuse tend to blow when shorted as they take about twice the rated current to blow quickly. A seized motor would have dran a lot of currnt but perhaps not enough to see off the fuse.

Make sure the drivers door is shut or it doesn't work...

A prize to Simon

Thought its cold, I will have a go on Boxing day.
Drove home just tried it it works fine.
Why is it wired like this?

Why is it wired like this?
Why is ANYTHING in a Land Rover wired the way it is? Quirky.

Mine is totally shot, cracked the plastic around the shaft trying to unsieze it!!
-
I think its worth taking it to bits whilst it still works and re packing the grease in the shaft, and fit a new O ring at the top of the shaft.
You could do it once a year, when you remove and check the spare wheel, so you can still undo the nuts and check to see that the carrier isnt rotted.

Mine does about 2 sweeps then stops for a couple of seconds then does a half sweep then stops and starts whenever it pleases. :?
Goes to show that Landies DO have a mind of their own :P
