Hey, me again, got another problem... :roll: yeah I know.
I've asked on google but it comes back with nerdy stuff and things that I don't have on my computer.
I'm running windows xp home edition and Outlook. Sometimes my wireless internet connection drops as I'm not exactly close to the router... but that is not the problem.
The problem is... if the connection drops I get that blasted box popping up asking for my network password, the boxes are all filled in and it makes no difference what I do it won't let any mail in until I do a restart, and sometimes not then! :evil: I have set the timing for email send/receive to 5 mins as this seems to be a common problem, but it hasn't solved it.
So, can anyone help me sort this out, explaining in simple terms what I can do? pleeeeease? :D

Have you tried being in range of the router before entering the password screen/clicking "okay"?
It's probably asking because it's not sure if the password is correct as it can't connect.

Yes, the connection only drops for a second then picks up ok.

If you are using a wireless connection that has dual speed try setting it to the lower speed (11mbs) rather than the higher (54 mbs) speed. My wireless router is dual speed and so is the laptop but it will not keep a continuous 54mbs connection but at 11mbs its fine and will run all day.

Hi, Thanks, Ive had a shufty through all the router settings but cannot find anything that says about speed so have to assume its not a dual speed jobbie, unless this can be set from anywhere else, any suggestions?
