You need to find where the "manage exclusion list" is and add them to it.

hi.
limited no how but if it helps.first you need to set your router to your default.this is done in settings then connections, then you need the router address to access the security settings, the fire wall needs to be enabled, plus the w.e.n encription needs to be enabled,if you dont know the router address you should be able to get this from there respective web sites. my router is belkin and my neighbours is a bt home hub both encripted and work fine, hope this helps good luck.

If you are using Windows connection manager then it should only connect to the one you choose from the available list, your own.
If you are managing to connect to other peoples connections then they are very stupid not to have there wireless router encripted.

We are using Belkin we have named, hidden and encripted our wireless connection via the Belkin website, to get another pewter to connect it has to search for the name then enter the encription code, there are at least three systems near us that are not protected in any way at all

windows connection manager is crap. use the one that came with your network card.
all you need to do is make sure that the SSID entered is the one on your router, and it should work fine.
edit - by the way, you DONT need the firewall, wep, etc etc etc enabled. firewall is better if it IS enabled though, and the best way to restrict others from using your access point/router is to use MAC address filtering, NOT wep! wep can be broken quite easily
