I'm guessing there is a common problem with the rear view mirrors on the Disco.

Can i replace it with any other mirror?

Its an auto dipping mirror, it should have a green led come on when it activates with the auto button pressed, it actually dim's with a tint more than dips.
Love mine its a pity the door mirrors don't do the same

You can replace it with another auto-dipping mirror or a normal one. The auto-dipping ones sometimes come up on eBay at a reasonable price.
IIRC some L322 Range Rovers came with auto-dipping door mirrors. The trouble arose when people cracked them; the liquid crystal gunk running down the paintwork had a tendency to strip off the paint, which cost Land Rover money in warranty claims. I don't know if they still do them.

Theres one fitted to the Range Rover Classic Vogues which also has 2 map lights, easy to wire into the interior light circuit.
I have an auto dipper fitted to my ES, its a bit pointless as it also has a privacy kit fitted, anyone following even with main beam doesnt make the mirror dip itself !
I fitted a range rover one to my old G reg discovery pretty easily and it worked well on that.

Cheers,
Will keep my eyes open for a new one.
