Title: alt pulley doesnt quite line up with the other one?

i keep having to replace alt belts well three in two weeks!

but looking at the pulleys the alt seems to sit to far back but theres no way to adjust it so how do i get round it? possible wrong alt?

Which engine is it?

If it's the 300 TDi then are you sure it's the alt' pulley that's out and not the tentioner pulley, as they have a tendancy to go out of line?

of course sorry its a 200tdi
it is about 6mm to far back but ive managed to space it out with a few washers and it appears ok at the minute.

well its just a pain in the backside as every time i need a part the nearest place to me is norwich which is a 45 minute drive and with the disco and setting up a marine fish tank its leaving me skint :(  :lol:

I had to do that with the Rangie's Air Con compressor as that one didn't line up either.

Glad you got it sorted.  :wink:
