Got a nice little rumble after a day out playing. Im pretty sure its a front hub bearing. the manual shows it as a fairly easy job, but does anyone have experience of doing one of these? Any advice.

Piece of cake,just like doin a Sammy.
Should only take you an hour a side.
Just make sure you pack the bearings well with grease.

Simple answer no. I found it easier, and cheaper to buy 2nd hand hubs from a breaker and replace the lot. The basic idea is same as Vitara and SJ/Sami, but the original bearing is a double row type, only available from Suzuki and £70+vat each. The old bearing can only be got out with a hydraulic press and same to refit. You also need a special tool to undo and re torque the retaining nut. These are available from dealers at £45+vat or I think Rhino central do a copy at less than half that. You can also now get after market bearing kits which replace the original bearing with two tapper bearings, same as the Vitara set up I believe and at approx £25 a bargain.
Worth checking your King pins 'cos these are prone to wear quickly. I've gone through 5 wheel and a full set of King pins in 3 years. At the last rebuild i also replace the swivel seals and so far haven't had any more probs!

Cheers fellows, i figured there would be some interesting quirks with them. my old Frontera was a similar set up. I'll have a look see as soon as i can. its deffo the drivers bearing. its quiet on the straight and sounds like a spitfire diving when i turn right :lol: :lol:
