after buying our first 90 expecing to fit dogs int he back aswell as bits and bobs we have quickly realised tht this is not possible lol so we thought of turning our hard top into a truck cab but is it possible? if so where do you get the truck cab body form?

Yep it can be done look on ebay and put a post in the wanted section of this forum 8) I saw a website linked from here with some steps on how to do it but its not hard anyway just undo bolts from the hard top, take off (will need a couple of people), then bolt on the truck cab :P

Your current roof is held on with a bolt in each inside corer of the back, two bolts on the side panels and about 4 or 6 over the windscreen.
Just undo those (having taken your front headlining off if you've got it) then the truck cab fits with the 4 or 6 bolts around the windscreen, and a few onto the bulkhead. Should take less than an hour if theres a couple of you.
You'll also need to undo the seatbealts and take off your sun visors as they're attached to the old roof!
I've got my old TC at home - have promised it to someone local but can do some close up pictures if you want any of brackets etc. PM me

Hi Mike,
I see your in Derby too. I'm in Mickleover, if you need a hand let us know. Mines running a t/cab btw, if you want a look/sit in first before you fit one.
Cheers,

You also need the four brackets that bolt to the inner side of the bulkhead behind the front seats. Make sure you get these if you buy a second hand truck cab!
Truck Cab wise... I can get hold of a complete roof and back panel with all the glass and brackets etc etc. Has recently been painted metalic blue (monte carlo) - roof and the back panel are blue. Only down side is it's missing all the interior trim.
£200 if your interested? - could also fit it if needed (not far from you)
Trim wise... one option is a headling from LaSalle - http://freespace.virgin.net/lasalle.trim/PriceList.html - landy_andy has got one in his 90 (complete with stereo and speaker mounts), and it does look rather good. And doesn't suffer from saggy headlining syndrome like the standard ones.

How much should I get for mine?
1989 a few dents and scratches. Good condition otherwise. Headlining. No light. all brackets. PLUS tailgate

ive heard of king cabs how are they made give abit more room behind for a few bits and bobs.
Thanks very much for the replies i need to ask the boss (my dad) and see what he says. Fabricating the inside shouldt be too bad i could make it to how i want even better :)
