Definately fake Mike - just ignore it and delete - and don't open it !
-
If you mouse over the link usually it'll say its going to an address other than where it should be.
-
I had one a while back its FAKE
-
If you're not sure then log in to your account (not using the link they provide!) and look at your recent transactions. Or send it to Paypal and ask.
But it looks like a classic fake email though. :D
-
It looks like a good link though :?
I never go with links that come by email, go with what budgie said and access your account through your usual way then check it out from there.
-
if it was from paypal, they'd have spelt choice correctly
-
paypal/ebay/etc never use "dear customer" or whatever, just for reference
-
Fake... Always open Paypal and Ebay accounts from a brouser not a e-mailed link... I've had about 20 of the same and all fake.
-
i get them all the time, also ebay ones, if your unsure, go into paypal or ebay as normal, if there is a problem there will be a message there, once you get in.
-
Yep, fake... why would PayPal need to confirm anyone's details... they already know them!
-
I agree, fake. However when you click the link redlinemike has posted it does look genuine
Is that the link exactly as it came through your email redlinemike :?:

Unforutanely when you copy and paste a link even if it is fake once it is copied it shows up as being the correct linkm we have had this before........ Mike hold your mouse over the link as someone else said and see where it is actually going to send you?

I've now had my account closed with just about every high street branch going, mostly I ignore them but some are funny. If you want to check, open your paypal account in the normal way, any problem and there will be a meesage waiting for you. Same with E-Blag.
And hell, if they do close your account for real, at least you don't get ripped off. I had my E-Baty acount hijacked last year and they sorted it ourt for me within 3 hours =D>
-
I've spotted at least 3 typos in it, including 'choise' and NOT including what looks like an Americanisation - that set alarm bells ringing.
-
I dont use paypal anyway! Its been hacked more times than i can remember and twice my litlle brothers bank account has been wiped of nearly ten grand!
It took 8 months to rectify and lloyds, who 'didnt notice large transactions from cyprus despite him using it in uk as well' Then turned round after he got the money back and charged him 9 grand for sorting it out and bank charges!! lol!
-
That's why I only have a credit card registered with PayPal and not a bank accout.
