A local lane to me has recently been the dumping ground for joyriders (or insurance scammers!) and burnt out cars have been appearing and blocking the lane.
A freind of mine is licensed by the authorities to remove these shells but he cant get to the cars sometimes with his big truck even though it is 4x4.
So he enlists the help of us to get them to a place to load up.
THe Terrano was a pain to drag, I had to have the SJ pulling me just to give me a little more, the car on top is a megane, it had been in the lane for about 2 years and was out of the way but while we were there we got that one too, its amazing how much it had rotted away, it was falling to bits dragging it down the lane!

looks like good fun. Would love to help if anyone needs help getting burnt out cars out of lanes around daventry. It would be something else to add to the list of wierd things I have towed. Best thing so far is a narrow boat barge. the type they put mud, sludge, pipes etc in on canals and it had a tug behind it as the water was too shallow to get the boat along under its own power.
It looks like a bedford TK lorry. I didnt realise bedfords came with 4x4 options.

just a word of warning its not a god idea to go pokeing about in burnt out cars, the residue thats left over from burnt seals in the hydraulic systems is carcengenic & makes your bones go to mush

Indeed when some of the gaskets burn they can release an acid which eats flesh. Only way to stop it is amputation I'm afraid.
Burnt motors are best left well alone. But none the less It's a good effort, just be careful and take appropriate precautions.

basically wear appropriate gloves and dispose of them with the vehicle when you've finished wearing them so you dont contaminate something else!

The 4x4 derivative is the MK, as used for years by the British Army (obviously strengthened & built to their specification)

later version of the TK was the TL with tilt cabthink they made 4x4 versions
used to work on Tk's the cabs didnt tilt just small access flaps behind the doors

New version was calle dthe TM I think.
The old MK's were awexome... huge tyres and 4x4... went anywhere! Just as well really, we had a COMCEN with about 25 of the [!Expletive Deleted!] and had to park it in the middle of German woods, udually on top of ridges and mountains!
Seen a few go over as well. Was in one when it jumped out of gear on the way down a steep track in a wood with a hairpin coming up.
Gearstick broke the drivers elbow (?) and I ended up having to try and get it back in gear... :(scared): (Think we really need a brown trouser smilie!)
