Hi I've just made a light bar for the roof of the disco. Just wandering how everyone else bolts it to the gutter. abd does it block the gutter?
I've stuck a couple of pics on so you can see what I've done. Total cost so far, £8.00

2 x nuts and bolts each side or it will bounce / vibrate.
m6 go up through the gutter as opposed to down or your nylock will be probably in way of door top.

Thats what I thought. but wasn't sure if water would overflow gutter and all over neck when getting in or out. Or all over seat when I open the door.
Thought of putting a U channel under it then bolting it to gutter. As that would allow water to run under the bar and down windscreen like it's supposed too.
Tube is 16mm Cold drawn tube and box section is 20 x 20mm cold drawn steel. about 4" of tube goes into Box Section and is secured with 2 m6 machine screws & nyloc nuts. So it shouldn't move that much. Also will be getting it welded so there'll be even less movement then

It will . . . . . . . . . it also goes all over the inside of the door when the window is down . . . . .

Ok . . . . that's when you ain't driving and the vehicle is stationary . . . . when driving in anything but moderate drizzle the water will run back up the bar and into the gutter where it will flood over the gutter, where the bolts or rods supporting the bar create an effective dam . . . .

So I might as well just bolt it direct to the gutter then?
