Im really pushing my luck, But here goes ----- I am trying to look up a person, sounds like margarite pattern ? (spelt it how it sounded) She is an old lady who writes/written books on dinner party/food, I believe chris evans was talking about her on radio 2 today, But that is as much as i konw im afraid, I konw its a long shot but there are quite a few of you lot out there, (and swmbo has bet me no body on here knows who she is) So lets prove her wrong aye ?? tried google kinda thing with different spellings but no luck as yet :roll:

she was on the show with Chris Evans. Lovely old dear with plenty of life in her. I only tuned in by accident but spent an hour happily listening.

This is how her name is spelt Marguerite Patten.
I've got a copy of her 'Every Day Cook Book' and its great. (doesn't make my cooking any better tho :lol: :lol: )

:D :D I've got one of her books about wartime cooking bearing in mind food rationing etc...we cooked potatoe dumplings (potatoe and cheese etc) the other day and the children thought it was great... 8) 8)

She also wrote Perfect Cooking, its in my bookshelf here, wonder if it will help me to cook better?

This is one of the things I like about Mud-Club..... someone will know the answer to just about anything you want to know :D
And another thing I like about it is that nobody will start throwing toys out of their pram saying it's nothing to do with 4x4's and shouldn't be on here :D (unlike certain other forums).
