i want to mount some spot lights to my roof rack ( basket type ) what do i need in the way of brackets to fit them on ? does anywere sell anything ? can any one suggest anything ? cheers
-
could always weld some small plates with drilled holes in center for them onto it...
hafta admit my rack had holes already for spots so i cheated lol

If you buy the spots from Halfords or somewhere like that, they usually sell the brackets as well. If you can't get hold of any, let me know and I will take the brackets off my old spots which don't workl.
-
lol but dont buy the £20 sets cos they dont come with brackets i know cos there the ones i have
-
yup 4 brackets im after for a normal basket roof rack - i cant weld and have no way of doing it so some soft of clamp bracket would be best, ive just been to halfords and b+q and the only thing i can think of is using a metal plate, bent over the rack screwing in to this to give a flat bit to bolt the spots through ( 8" large ones ) any suggestins would be good before i spend the day tomoro going nuts... must be an easy solution that does not cost a lot of money lol

Another way to mount it easier then hangin off the front of the rack, set them up on a length of angle iron, bolt and wire up, then bolt the angle iron straight onto the rack, 3 mounting points should be enough to hold them secure
-
thats a good idea, not sure how it would look though also whats angle iron lol

all our spots came with brackets.... drill hole, put a bolt through, tighten it up, wire it up, blind people. simple process ;)
