the cam belt has a fault on the 300tdi and the pulley kit and belt can be around £80 but can be got off ebay for around £40-50 ...then there is the labour    so unless you know its had the upgrgrade kit ,its the dearer option im afraid

I think it might need a tweak back a bit, will have to see what the smoke is like in the daylight, Mark's seemed fine - didn't notice any smoke when he pulled in front.  :D

To be honest matts did seem very smokey last night in the dark, but he said today in the light of day it was fine, so see how you get on, have you noticed an increse in pulling power?

Oooh yeah, pulled away from one set of traffic lights and I'm pretty sure the wheels were spinning (if they can do that). Should be a bit different towing the caravan

Smoke always looks worse in the dark anyway  8)

How do you tweak the turbo?

I have heard you can tweak the fuel pump to get more power, but it increases the smoke!

What's the method and the pitfalls?
