Title: Discovery 1 Obsolete Exhaust - expensive solution
Post by: CM on February 16, 2007, 12:02:58
After trying every seedy scrapyard in the Black Country I got a phone call from the main dealer - even though when they ordered it it came up obsolete, unavailable and out of stock, the section of exhaust appeared in their parts delivery bin this morning as if by magic.

He then conjured up a bill for £214.65 which I work out as £53.88 per foot.  I am reliably informed that it is the last one in the world - I don't know whether to fit it or keep it for the Antiques Road Show.  I've always liked driving the Disco but I don't enjoy being taken for a ride.

Back to the bank!

do a web search also the 0800 find a part ads in the yellow pages are very good as scrap yards all over the country subscribe to it they fax/email the part you want and any scrappy on the list who has the part will phone you. I've had parts from as far afield as cornwall and scotland.
