Standard tyre size on my N reg Commercial is 205R16, though was led to believe by one of the reputable local tyre places that 225/70 was standard on some vehicles, whether that was on later models or higher spec I dunno.

Right, just checked the workshop manual. According to that, tyre size is 205R16 on either alloys or steels, unless the alloys are "Freestyle" rims, in which case they would be 235/70R16.

It's not Atlantis Blue.
That was the colour used on the 50th Aniversary editions & was more of a 'Flip-Flop' paint.

See my 'www'[/i] for plenty of illustrations of that colour

Ionian Blue???

Mine is Ionian Blue. His is too dark for it to be that colour. There is a stick on the front slam panel with the paint colours and codes on mine. You should see it as soon as the bonnet is lifted if it still there.

I reckon (from the green side) that it's Caprice Green.

225/75 were originally the wide tyre option recomended for RRC, Certainly the older ones.  I had a set of Riken from Paddocks in this size and the car handled great, I recon that 235 is a bit too wide for a 7 inch rim but it's a much more common size so it's cheaper.  I'd hazard a guess that someone got them as a set on offer somewhere, but they are the correct rolling radius so I'd leave them alone, provided all 4 are the same size.
