I live in Staffordshire but I join the west midlands group for meets & days out.

They do regular maintenance weekends in Great Barr - in fact last Saturday I got my oils changed by them  :D  :D

had quite a few pms lol so i'll post here as well :)

as i live at an animal rescue center we need a workshop to look after our motors. i also get to use it for my erm projects :P so i intend to open it up for club members to use when theres no rescue motors in it (tips welcome :P ) will be 25+30 just got to finish clearing the site then it will go up should be up for april.

were rebuilding the rescue thats how i managed to talk the commite into letting me have a decent sized workshop insted of the leanto i had.

will also be able to offer storage for a few motors short time (no 5 year stayovers please) and hopefully if i can get the cash together i'l have my own  paint and spray room (heated) so i'll be able to turn some nice motors out an make abit o cash.

I've sprayed my last 2 motors outside in the garden during the last 2 summers!

would definately be interested in paying a suitable donation to your rescue in return for workshop usage!

Well seeing as it's for a good cause and all that, could locals assist in any way with some labour to help out in any way shape or form in the mean time to get the site ship shape?

Tomarse can provide the Field Cafe

normal locals round here are more intrested in eating our goats :( club members are welcome to come help out ^^ atm its mainly demolishing the old sheds and animal hospital and some old caravans we used for storage. then we'll be putting stone down then starting to rebuild the rescue and the workshop ^^ (guess what bit i'm looking forward to the most :P)

I could do with some help guidance on servicing etc.

What do you want to know

I have never really done much with motors but can strip rebuild spray push bikes build wheels etc. So I want to be able to service my Defender and do bits of maintenance.

So I want to get my hands dirty but as it is my everyday transport for work can't be without it. What I would like to help to show me the right way to do things so that I can then just get on and do it in the future.
