No, I'm not asking the ladies of the forum their age
I would like to know who takes their children on green laning and/or pay 'n play days and what age the youngest chappie/chappess is :)
I have three boys aged 5, 3 and 1. So far, only the two oldest ones have been out with me. The wife thinks, because Dan (the youngest), can't walk yet he would end up being in the car all day and not get any activity, etc.
I'm talking about days out, rather than an hour down the local lane. So, I'll open the bidding with 3 years old :)

Tried to get my youngest ( 3yrs ) interested but she had the look of horror on her face when we went laning  The oldest ( she's 8 ) thinks its cool 8) so I'm taking her on a full day from Whalley Bridge to Buxton on 19th Dec :D

Easter 2002 took my son Liam out laning in Bury St Edmonds.
Aged 3, He's hooked on it now and loves to get muddy at weekends. :D

Here's a photo of him taking in some plesent Derbyshire lanes.,

We have been taking Beth laning since she was about 8 months old, I have taken her out for full day trips and to play days since 15 months or so, Wife was not to sure about that but Beth loves going over the bumps :)

Leith used to go offroading before he was born....ask Turtle - it was touch and go at an MK4x4 event as to whether he was born in a field or not!
-
Depends on the kids really
My 8 year old would love it, my 6 year old would proberally love it for an hour or so, then hate it.
We will go 4x4 one day,
And if youngest doesn't like it go home, or at least try to bribe with the old 'Macdonalds ' technique

Ours started coming off road around her 2nd birthday, and she loves it. She's now 4.
She joins me at alot of the shows, likes camping out and enjoys handing out leaflets to passers by. As long as we get the car muddy she goes home a happy little soul.

alexandra now almost 9 and rebecca almost 5 have been off-roading for 2 years and love it: camping, laning days, Whitworth quarry - the lot.
they're the reason we now have bits of a Defender in the garage so we can - come Christmas - take out two vehicles.
They love sitting in the front passenger seat, Simon won't, so I end up stuck in the back with one of them
Having 2 Landies and 2 front passenger seats is the anserw 8)
Except that they now want to bring their friends along...

:( Sadly i have no kids, but if i did they would have no choice when it comes to offroading, i mean someones got to open and close the gates, get the ropes shakled up when ever i get stuck and last but not least test how deep the water is before crossing fords etc.....

Paul, the last piccy in the gallery, is it your own map or one of those downloaded from a website in exchange for 'kerching'. I'm interested as I havent done much laning and dont want to get it wrong. At the moment I pay to go on organised trips but would like to go solo.

Amelia is 4 in April & likes to "splash in the mud" as she puts it.
She got upset when Mum (SWMBO) wouldn't let me drive in the water whilst we were over the western borders.
My protestations of "The tides going out! Honest!" were disregarded

We had a look at where the Byway across Morecambe Bay heads off-shore at Hest Bank....
There used to be one of the local fishermen who organised 'Wet Sahara' crossings. He'd lead a small group of 4x4's across the Bay.
Frank Elson of 'LRO' & 'LRM' fame once drove across.
I bet the H&S bods stopped him running them?
