Title: which parts do i need?
Post by: M19 ROO on February 19, 2007, 18:58:47
following from my prop shaft u.j's......

the noise i was hearing while driveing got worse,,, matter of days to get worse.. its now a loud wirring with some clunking (hard to explain noises)

either way the noise is worse when costing down a hill, or just generally let off the go pedal (while in gear), NOW when you push the clutch in said noise goes away..... so this makein me think its more transfer box? gearbox?

so can someone tell me what transfer box i need for trug and gearbox...(even if it aint them i could do with knowing either way)

300tdi on a 'P'

thanks for ya help  :P

CHECK THE OIL LEVELS FIRST.
Yes I'm shouting.

My daughter had an oil leak they couldn't find on her Discovery. Nobody checked any levels.
The transfer box broke on me . I was lucky as I'd just pulled into services on the M1.
Had it broken at speed I'd have gone off at least.

check oils in everything 1st
diffs, and both box's
it will give you a insight as to whats gone
your 90 will be running a longstick R380 gearbox coupled to a lt230 transfer box 1.410 ratio

thats the gr8 thing about 35inch tyres
also helps aswell when you need to fit a transfer box on ya own
can sit up under the thing and pick it up and in, instead of crawling around on your back and faffing around with jacks
not so good for removing the engine tho
