Post by: Lincs niva on February 20, 2007, 20:37:50
Good evening ladies & gents

Im thinking of placing a bid on this range rover on ebay partly because it's not to far away from me.However reading the feedback from a buyer who didnt buy it buy the looks of thing's say's it a bit of a heap.

My main concern is gearbox needs slight attention and doesnt run on petrol probally not a big problem i dont no

So what sort of price should i be looking to pay for this?

 Hi, £300.00 is the most you should consider paying for this vehicle.  By the way, my husband comes from Louth.  Good Luck.

If you're serious go and look at it first - maybe even make an offer

before doing anything, look at the first few posts on the range rover board as it will tell you what its like, cos the feedback giver for that particular version has posted the details on there!!

It's worth a bag of chips mate, no more.  There are enough Rangies out there that you can steer well clear of this one, whatever is going on.

If you are not 100% on Land Rovers yoursefl ask around within the club or put a thread in the wanted section.

I would steer clear of it, too many unknowns and you can find an honest motor for not too much money through these forums.

Ok, I took your advice and arranged a viewing before I did any bidding.
It aint getting one cent of my money!!
The sills have completely rotted away - it wont run on petrol at all - the engine is totally gutless - aftermarket tacho self tappered to the dash as the original one doesn't work - it is honestly a complete shed of a vehicle. If I was selling it I would be embarassed to offer it as spares or repair.
My advice is to not even go near it unless you want a laugh. Just wish I knew the poor sods that have put a bid on it already.
