In future, insurance will be based on the likelihood of a car being damaged in a crash – or damaging another car – and the likely cost of repair.

Did I miss something, or is this exactly the same as it is now? What's different?

Renewal came in for the TDI. £12 less than last year and still over £100 cheaper than the Micra.  It's all c**p, insurance will still be based on your personall risk and typically what type of person they think we are, they will still be targetting young drivers and hot hatches, that's who make the claims.

my renewal came for the 300tdi from flux, £319   so when on the phone to them the wife asks if they can better that as its a bit steep, no they say but if you can find cheaper we guarantee to beat it :?
20 mins on internet and she finds 3 quotes for around the £220-£250 mark so rings back the nice lady at flux and tells her and they then come up with £185   but no explanation as to why they couldnt offer that before we looked for alternative quote,s
