Good find. I bought a brand new set of air tools last April intending to buy a compressor. Needless to say, I never got round to it!

Now I just need to find £60!

Quick! Take a look at my For Sale (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=37544) thread!

Simon.

Be carefull, most compressors that size will not run those tools very succesfully.

Go on, ask me how I know

For the money tho you cant really go wrong.

I splashed a big wad of cash on a decent compressor (V-Twin 3hp) and good airtools just after chrimbo :)

The time to buy I always find :D

You're right though, for that money you can't go wrong.  Check out the SIP stuff in Hafrauds too, most of mine is SIP and it's ok, again, for the money.

Pah, the compressor was vat free from machine mart, but then whilst i was there i got some HD plus ball bearing chest of draws, top and bottom for my tools, which more than spent the saving!

My air tools came from Axminster tho and are excellent quality, and very well priced.

If you brought 2 compressors and connected them up would it work as a  5  hp

Only ever bought air tools from snap on, and wont by from anywhere else, my air gun is 15 years old and still as strong as the day i got it, and its been used nearly every day, thats good value for money,

But if your not going to use them every day, you cant go wrong with the aldi prices

Steer clear of that inpact wrench.  I've got one and it won't even take properly torqued wheel nuts off.
Ebay is good for air kit, plenty of second hand pro standard tools in good condition.  Where i got my decent impact wrench from.

Brought a snap-on impact gun and it was [!Expletive Deleted!], But the snap on man had it back and said try this Ingersol-rand 2135 QTI 814 n.m torque. Best gun ever . The air rachets are as good so i,m told.

Yes i agree the older snap on tools are good i had one before the new impact gun.

Another vote here for Ingersoll Rand. Try also CP (Chicago Pneumatic)

Burgerman, Adli on the Bath road near Tilehurst had them today, don't look at the webesite for directions though, as I found it is wrong.

depending how you get there, from the M4 jnct 12 just follow the A4 to Reading and it will be on the right a few miles down.
If you come up via Mortimer and Burghfield it is left at the lights when you get to the A4 and a few yards down on the left.

Got mine today not had a chance to test, but won't be used daily and for the price even if they last a few months it will have been worth it

Where is the Basingstoke one? is it where the Renault garage used to be?

    SUSSED IT

The Tilehurst branch (Nr Reading) comes under london area
The basingstoke  (Nr Reading) branch doesn"t    ](*,)

And of course they dont know when/iff the promotion will come around to them

So i will forget the quest and now go onto E-Blag for one
