The chap who gave the girl the revolver at the beginning, think he was a rugby player, always jogging.

It was the rugby player, he got Chloe (his girlfriend who worked in the hotel) to hide a rifle in her locker.

Motive? His father apparantly commited suicide cos the hacker ripped off loads of loot from him or the uni account he was responsible for.
