Title: anti roll bar ball joint

any advice on replacing the rear anti roll bar ball joint on my disco please guys

You might find the thread on the big nut/bolt has seized.  These are not super-cheap to replce but I did on mine.  the other probelm is that the balljoint taper can be hard to move, just like any balljoint.

they are alright, don't buy the cheapie joints, you can get delphi ones for about £14 each... you need to buy bushes aswell, and a vice might be handy for pushing the new bushes into the joint...

its a fairly straight forward job though...

Were your bushes not split in half then, or are we talking about different things?

I've just done mine on my '97 300Tdi. Dead easy job if you have a ball joint splitter.
Buy new bolts (M14), nuts and rubbers 'cos the nuts [!Expletive Deleted!] the threads on the bolts when you wind 'em off. My bolts cost about 5GBP each complete with nuts.

Yours must have different parts 'cos mine needed a special stepped bolt :roll:

Progress for the better though if it is.
