Have your say before the antis do.
-
Just sent Aunty Beeb a missive about bias and influencing votes ('polluting 4x4s').
Typical of the unthinking media
Get your votes in soon!

So what vehicle are we going to select?
If we all choose the same one, then it'll be guaranteed to come at the top!
How about Austin Allegro?
We know the anti's are all going to just type 4x4. I don't think there's any "group" of vehicles that we'd all agree on that could then topple the anti's.
Ben

Listening to it now
As much as I like Jeremy Vine as a presenter, he tries to be 'populist'
-
I voted off the Toyota Prius.
"Staff car of the whining do-gooder brigade and the ugliest personal statement vehicle ever devised."
Did a bit of googling and they aren't as green as they look!

('polluting 4x4s') :x :x :x :x
Oh the BBC don't we just love 'em
So what are the people of MC voting for ?

Seems to me that the BBC have started this just to see how many people hate 4x4's, you can't really genralise another a group of vehicles on the road that you would like to 'ban'. It's a hard one for me as I really don't mind most motorists, just detest boy racers and most drivers over 70 who plod along, there is nothing wrong with the majority of vehicles (be it type of vehicle, make, model, pollution output etc.) it's just the drivers that cause me aggro. Good idea about everyone choosing the same model/make of car like the Allegro suggestion, could over run the antis who you know will just put 4x4
-
Voted for the Toyota Prius for the hype that surrounds it.
-
I top had a rant at him, not that it will do any good.
Hey, just had a look at that link to the daily mail website, holy cow
That's a story that need to go on 4x4 prejudice.org if ever there was one.
-
But why would I want to ban a (whatever) from the road?
They have as much right to get in my way as I do theirs, surely?
And here was me thinking that we were living in an elightened society which prided itself on it's civil freedoms, personal rights and freedom from bigotry, prejudice and hatred.
Or is it just the newspapers and happy tablets that made me think that?
-
I went Prius......... far more polluting than anything else I could think of
-
Yeah. so it seems
-
I agree that all cars have the right to use the roads as long as they're driven correctly and courteously.... except the Austin Metro.
When i'm President of the People's Republic of Great Britain  , I will order all Metros, in any guise (be it Rover 100 or otherwise), to be crushed at the expense of their owners.
-
My entry :
None - as we all have a right to use the roads we pay our tax for. I cannot beleive you are going to try and state a certain type/make/model of vehicle does not have the right to use the roads. If this was applied to people it would be called racism.
-
I've replied
Which vehicle do you want to be voted off the road?
Oh please, yet another misinformed 'polluting 4x4's' comment. Why can't you demonstrate some intelligence for once and do some research!
I vote that all the BBC Journo's who use 4x4's as a yardstick for congestion, pollution and crime get off the road. You clearly ought to be walking with blinkers on!
Why have you nominated this particular vehicle?
Because I'm sick to death with the anti 4x4 bias and misinformed rubbish that emerges from the keyboards of you idiots.
-
   EXELLENT
-
My vote will be the Toyota Prius because it's production causes more greenhouse gases to be produced than many other cars and it is going to be an ecological disaster in a few years when it comes to scrapping it
And that was before I read the Mail report
If you're choosing a car choose Prius to beat the antis at their own game
-
Voted off a Prius as my Diesel Golf is more economical, cheaper and less damaging to the environment to both manufacture and dispose of.
-

Three characters: 6R4
Always room in the world for the 6R4. 8)

Toyota Prius. Just said it as it is, you think you are getting something green when you are in reality not!
Plus it a bag of S**t
-
i could vote for police cars   get them off the road and solving more crime rather than targeting the motorist
or the honda accord as they,re always driven by old people like the woman who tried to overtake me today as i waited patiently for the lorry coming the other way up the narrow street  there was no way we could pass so i stopped she had to reverse then to the back of the queue when she came face to face with the truck
-
just voted ( before i read all the other posts )
and i to voted the Toyota Prius
can't tell you enough how much i hate that vehicle
-
I voted Prius too! and this was my reason
Because ths car is not as green as the 4x4 bashing hippies lead us to believe and it is about time someone told them
-
I voted for G-Wiz. Said that it produces more pollution than an equivalent petrol powered car.
-
I went Prius in the end - I had wondered about it, but wasn't sure on the environmental impact - I knew it was bad :D
So it's Prius from us all - lets see if we can make it win!
Ben

Voted for the Prius too!
-
Also voted Prius...
-
Clearly this is just another Jerremy Vines (badly disguised) digs at 4x4 again. So we should all vote for the TOYOTA PIOUS (sorry Prius) for these reasons:
"Because people mistakenly believe they are helping to save the planet when they buy one of these hybrid type cars. Given the horrendous amount of eneregy it takes to manufacture these cars (and particularly the batteries) they would have far more positive impact driving a 15 year old diesel 4x4 running on veg oil- you can't much greener than that!"
