hello all!

ive a small problem in the fact my cross member is as good as non existant, i took the rear bumber off yesterday to find wat was left of of the cross member filled with newspaper body filler and golf balls strangely. anyhows im going to replace it this weekend hopefully, picking the new cross member up tommorow.

basically just after any advice

Get new mountings as well, the rubbers, bolts, washers etc.

I need to get mine done as well but not having a welder and not being able to weld is a bit of a drawback.  :wink:

So I'm getting a local guy to do it for me, when he comes back on leave from the North Sea!!  :D

Where did you get yours from?  Repaired (some of ) mine for the MOT, but could really do wih being replaced, and the LR one is soooo expensive

Got mine from Paddocks, along with the rear floor and floor crossmembers (I 've got a bit of rust!  :( ).

It still wasn't cheap though, over £100!!  :shock:

i managed to cut it out today and weld the new one in, well most of it anyway, we ran out of gas on the mig and the gas company doesnt deliver at the weekend so il have to wait for monday, all is looking good thoo its secure and the door closes. ive a few more patches to do aswel before the mot on wednesday i think.

oh i got it from tuff toys in melton mowbray, £130 inc rubber mounts etc not cheap!

Thats cool - grew up in Melton, and finally moving back to Grantham in April.  Where are they?  & thats £100 cheaper than from LR

there on the industrial estate that  halfords and the suzuki garage are on, the blokes in there are really helpful and genuine, would recomend them. not to expensive either. i live in grantham have done all my life so if you ever wanna do some off roading etc let me no,
