Whats the general opinion on the minimum size of winch you need when off roading .

For a 90 a 8000lb will do, but bigger is better.

if its for that P38 then a nice 12000lb radio controled water proof one would be ideal. Sub £320 too ! :shock:
A 9000lb just about do but at a push as I believe your RR is close to 3 ton ????
Not sure though, should say on the plate under bonnet

Ah no ,its for the 90, p38 to good to off road .

Should be a minimum of 2 x the gross vehicle weight, but in general the bigger the better

I can get a 12000lb one as described for less tha £320

we have a 9000lb winch on our 90 and it did the job very well!
