Title: Billing 2005
Post by: Vam on November 12, 2004, 13:43:59
Ok so I know it's early but just got details of it for next year via craft fairs.

Was there actually a craft tent last year , we went but didn't see one..

... reckon jewellery would go down well?

I guess mud-club will be there
So at least that'll be one landrover thing I'll be able to attend

Helen

Plus it's four days this year

Totally agree Steve and I'd probably spend less, but don't think the kids would agree with us both though

Don't think my wife would either.... she's 30 going on 12 when it comes to Christmas    I made the mistake of once suggesting we could go away at Christmas..... be nice to go to the Bahama's or maybe Namibia for a little safari...... a very frosty response was forthcoming

I think we will just visit for a day. It is in term time and £75 is a little steep for 1 nights camping

Like Andy I hope to return in 2005, after the absence this year.
Don't think we're BWSOW'ing as £75.00 is (as everyone thinks) a bit steep.

It'll be a day visit

I understand there is a campsite nearby,
It was used for the Birthday Bash and is
alot cheaper than that, Very close to Billing
from what I understand, Might be an idea to
book that instead.

£75 per night to camp!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That knocks that idea on the head (kids wanted to camp for the duration)

Be good to meet up, you can buy jewellery as sweetners for buying landrover bits - I offer discount to mudclub members

And yes I know it's early and what wifXmascomingupall and I've not even thought about Xmas yet as it's far tooo early  8-[

I just got all exicted at thought of doing a craft fair surounded by Landrovers - yes that is sad, I'll get me coat

Yes BUT I can only make it for the sat night (term time + teacher = not good) hence £75 for one night

(sorry for the confusion)

There is a farmer who sells camping for the show... a lot of the clubs use his field as it's cheaper than the show itself.  You can walk into the event from there easily.

Don't have any details before you ask.. .but I'm sure someone here does :-)

We half joked about camping when we went last year, like i said kids loved the idea , could be fun

Yeah, at least the toys we buy at Billing are more appreciated and get used.... I say, don't buy presents for family at Christmas, save it and spend it on the car

Xmas.....Don't forget it's also the time that families who avoid each during the year cos they hate each other, get together

We're having to separate the 'grandmothers' this year, after last years fiasco

Ahhh, such joy and happiness, eh??

Wonder if Jesus ever envisaged an overtly commercial, Americanised (or should that be Americanized?!) spangly, family feud filled, celebration of his birth, where everyone eats too much, drinks too much and gets given presents they don't really want?

Actually, I wonder if Mary looked at the three King's offerings and thought 'What the hell am I supposed to do with THAT???'

Eeek, I'm now waiting for that thunderbolt!

I doubt the thunderbolt will happen Steve.
Christmas for me, is best seen through the eyes of young children.
Commercial. Lizzy has been known to have more fun with the box :)

No thunder bolt, lets face it, if that was going to happen the Monty Python team wouldn't have stood a chance

Xmas is a time for frustation, tears, tempertantrums, eating too much sugar, throwing up and being sent to bed.

And thats just the adults
