Title: A *HUGE* Thankyou
Post by: Thrasher on November 15, 2004, 08:26:06
I would like to thank Tim Burt for all his help over the weekend. Not only have I learned just how an automatic gearbox is removed, split, rebuilt onto another gearbox and refitted .... but I have also learned how to work a spanner <grin>

Again, Tim, my thanks - and watch the post ;-)

P.S. Okay okay - Piglet broke down after Ben (Devil Child) had been in him.

Things to swear at when changing gearbox :

3. Propshafts - argh!
2. Y-pipes - Grrrrr

and the number 1?

1. ANTI-ROLL BARS - ALways in the wrong place!!! EEEEK!

Neil,

Glad you got him all fixed up again.  What time did you finally get under way?  Sorry we couldn't stay around later, but Sarah was getting concerned about Kirstin.

Big thanks to Tim from us as well for the effort in sorting out the weekend as a whole.  Great job, and good fun.  Some photos on my website.

And as for Ben, only 5 minutes after he simply touched the car, a bit of trim fell off the back.  There should definitely be a new "I've been Benned" section on Mud Club.

Neil - Glad it all sorted and your back on the road.

Again thanks to Tim and Joanne I had a great day out in the Dorset countryside, The sun was out all day but the Dorset air was a bit chilly  :?  was a long day but worth it. Cheers.  :D

I agree, luckly Ben didn't look at my motor or go near it, otherwise I wouldn't have got home.

=D>  =D>  =D>  =D>  =D>  for all the muddies involved (particularly Tim & Joanne & Daz I daresay)

Very good weekend, we both thoroughly enjoyed it and was nice to meet up with partners/wives etc.
Hot dogs and soup while marking up maps was one way of trying to keep warm!
Good samaritanism also gives a nice warm feeling even if it does spark on the battery a bit - strange thing was one of the croc clips managed to fall off the jump lead just as the cursed one was standing nearby... not sure if its related tho! 8-[

Thanks to Tim and Joanne for their hospitality on Saturday, it was both a fun and educational day. Good to see that Neil got home ok.

As you can see things were not going quite to plan at the start of the day when changing the battery on Piglet

Cheers,

Ben

You can fix anything with a fine adjuster. It just a matter of how hard you hit it.
