What mike said.............

£110 pounds for my parts and me and my mate started at Eight in the morning and finished it at two in the afternoon. So Six hours Labour at £30 an hour would be £180. Total therefore would have been....£290.....

Does sound very expensive!!!

Might be worth getting a quote off Devon 4x4 (speak to Tim or Jake and mention Mud-Club) and QT Services (I think they do general work too).

I'd come down and fit your steering box for less

Steering box shouldn't cost you much more than £350 (that's what I paid for mine)

of course, I get fitting rather cheap (three cheers for mr muddyweb ;))

There's a mobile mechanic, Les Henson, who comes on here and LR4x4.com with a very good reputation and he's based in Somerset/Wiltshire borders so not a million miles away.

He doesn't tout for business online so if you are interested you'll have to PM on here, Leslie Henson, or Les Henson on LR4x4.com.

Cheers

Steve

[spam]Borg & Beck clutch kit is £102, reinforced clutch fork is £10.
Labour is £110. Job is done and dusted in one day.[/spam]

How I do it here:-

http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=5010

Vehicle is a 110 CSW, but the process is the same.
Thread is for replacing the clutch fork only, but 6-more bolts is the clutch off as well.

Reinforced clutch fork:-

Re-con steering box is around £140, and they are quite easy to do. I would say a couple of hours labour if all goes well.

Les.
