Trip to Halfords time, buy a cheap stick on, think it can fail cause its broke. better to replace it anyway, cheaper than a retest

Agreed it will fail mot on a cracked mirror, you can either get a stick on over the top of the cracked glass, or a replacement one that will clip in, in place of the original, depends if you have heated mirrors or not

Or take it off, by law you only need 2 mirrors don't you?

testers discretion as to whether it impairs rear view,
Depends if it is a single crack, multiple crack, whether he argued with SWMBO that morning etc,
Not worth the chance, it needs changing anyway

recently got 2 new manual wing mirrors from cannocks, and they charged me £40 for the pasenger side and £60 for the drivers! :x  :x    grrrr. then someone thought it would be funny to nick my drivers side mirror! :x  :x  so i went looking for the inner mirror bits, but i couldnt find it anywhere! so i had a spare from the other side, flipped it, put a screw in it, then pasted a new mirror glass in. finally got it sorted.
good luck sorting it!

It wont fail will it?  As far as I am aware you need to have the drivers one and then either the rear view or the passsenger one.  A cracked passenger one should be an advisory item.

I am not 100% sure, only 99% :D
