Been on the blower to Bronco today, and it doesn't look like the 8x16 mods i've been waiting for are ever gonna arrive, however, they do a 7x16 with zero offset.... they reckon they've put loads of 285's of 7 inch rims, does anyone have any comments to make.... i wanted the 8 so that the tyre would 'roll' less.....
your thoughts please...

I know what you mean about tyre 'roll', I can't remember the technical term though but basically it's what's called over-tyred.
-
Having a look at the OEM tyre websites (Goodyear, BFG, Michelin etc) to find out what the proper boys recommend.........
BFG say 7.5 min rim width
Goodyear also say 7.5
HTH
Cheers

I got my set of 8" modulars from Nene Valley Off Road http://www.4x4tyres.co.uk/
I'm sure they'd be able to help you, good bunch of lads there, talk to Gary.

Thanks Frankie, but i've tried all avenues, and today i gave in, and ordered the 7x16's from Bronco with zero offset, i'll see how it goes with the 285's, had i known that getting 8's (with a sensible offset) would be so hard, i would have bought 265's to start with......
Vheers.
