Heres a question and hopefully someone will answer !!!!
I have 33x12.5x15 tyres on at the minute.
What is the equivalent size in metric ???
-
Not sure if it exists as an actual size, but the conversion is somewhere around : 315 / 75 R 15
-
You could always use the handy calculator found at the bottom of this link http://www.disco2.com/howto/offroader/tyresizes.phtml
Works quite well. Tims quite close to the actual 318/72R15 with his answer.
-
I actually rounded it to what I thought was most likely to be a real tyre size. I've not seen a tyre with a 72% aspect ratio before
-
wow thanks for the quick response.
so practically what would i be looking for ?
285 / 70 / 15 ?????
-
Is there any reason you aren't looking for a 33x12.5R15 ?
-
Well, I might have the chance of being gifted a set of grizzly's on 16" modular rims but as nothing in this life comes for free Iv gotta make sure they are worth having.
The size is 285 85 16 so anyone know how this would compare to the 33 x 12.5 that I currently have ???
-
They are more like a 35x11R16, so a good bit taller than the 33s
-
thankyou so much.
I had been looking at getting some 35's and the width of the 12.5 was doing my head in !!!
Thats just the answer I was hoping for !!!
They are on a lifted (too much) classic range at the min so they should go straight on my mk1 disco.
Thanks

A friend has recently fitted a set of grizzly claws on a Rangie and on the road they are as rough as a bear's bum!

The advert for them says their just at home on the road as they are in the mud.Could they be fibbing.
