Title: brake adjusters

Does any one know if you can channge the snailcam type brake adjusters on backplate is there a replacement according to haynes its only fulcrum type

Well, as far as i know landrover never fitted any other sort other than the big comma shaped versions,  that's not to say that without a suitable amount of determination and ingenuity you couldn't fit something else, but I would be tempted to ask why you'd want to.

i thought LR had the screw in type with the 1/4 drive square
my 109 rears had this i am sure
it was a salisbury axle as well

You can get replacement units, you have to break the cam lobe off on the old one then remove the assembly.

Although the  listing says front axle, by the looks of it thats a full vehicle set

I'm pretty sure the kit is for all 4 wheels, I remember changing all of mine on the l/w a couple of years ago, not a hard job, worth checking on the condition of the other parts in the drum first though, shoes, springs, slave cylinders etc

You may need more than you think :wink:
