Title: anglia news essex
Post by: mytj on March 21, 2007, 15:20:03
An item on anglia news at lunch time was about greenlanes and essex council showing ramblers moaning about the state of byways.
It may be re-shown later this evening.

was shown here in the Anglia region as well.  although it didnt show anyone talking about the state of them, just had some video of someone walking through some muddy tracks with the newsreader saying that 4x4 users are causing damage any people want them banned.

Yes saw that on Anglia, lots of rants about damage by 4x4s, apparently we have damaged some of them so badly that the farmers cant get their tractors down them :!:  :!:
Not a word mind you about all the bridleways, footpaths etc. that they have access to and we dont, in fact the article gave the impression that you couldn't set foot in the countryside without the risk of being run over by rampant 4x4s, impartial? I think not.

 :troll: @ Rambler.

It takes a lot to stop a typical tractor these days!  You'd need a big-foot sized 4x4 to stand a chance at making the ruts slightly difficult for tractors.
