I want to fit a full width intercooler to my 110 (200tdi), but don't want to pay silly money for one. :D
What car can I get one off that will fit?
I know there are some that do, but just can't remeber what cars they were.
Cheers

heard of a xantia intercooler being used
-
I'll be interested in the replies as I am looking at this at the moment......heard a Supra one may fit???
Cheers Steve

i've heard of supra intercoolers fitting, too.

what about straight forward supplys ?? 200 quid for a universal 200/300 tdi cooler, same size as allisport aswel, just not as shiney finish thats all, got one fitted to my 90
af for coolers, any will fit with some imagination, but look ahead into the future tho..do you plan on fitting a winch ? as this will dramaticaly reduce your options

£200 is the problem. I'm looking to pick one up for under £50.
If I can't find one suitable, I'll get one of those, but I'd rather spend the money on other things. :D
Personally, I don't see the need for a winch (I've never been stuck anywhere I've needed one). If i do get one, it won't be for a long time yet anyway, so I can modify whatever I've got fitted when the time comes.

what about a td5 intercooler then ? or linking 2 std intercoolers together ?

A standard Td5 intercooler isn't any bigger than a 200Tdi i/cooler.
With a little fabrication a supra intercooler from a scrappy is a cheap good alternative to a larger cooler.
Have you tried cleaning your standard intercooler & ensure the throttle opens full when the pedal is flat to the floor...the cables sretch.
Also you can tweak the pump.

Think the "unknown manxman" has a pucka full width one for sale. No idea what he wants for it tho...
-
I've reached as far as I'm willing to go as far as tweaking goes using the standard intercooler. I want to upgrade the intercooler before I do any more tweaking. I'll look for one from a Supra I think.

Ive got a standad TD5 intercooler in the shed its longer than the stock one , will measure up if i get chance, It may not be a major increase as its not mssive
