Title: Disco II V8 water level
Post by: nzoliver on March 24, 2007, 20:39:23
Hi all :D
Does anyone here with the V8 notice the water level shift on their truck? I just had to have the little plate the water circulates thru the throttle body changed. I noticed the water level down a sniff yesterday but I put that down to not being topped up when they did the job. I also noticed a little condensation out the exhaust on a reasonably warm afternoon. Any thoughts? :?:

Thanks all. 8)

How so :?:

The little plate was changes 'cos it was leaking. A common faut I beleive. The replacement looks different and is made different. Dont want a truck with blown head gasket!!

Hi I agree
you need to monitor the level over a few weeks
it does go up and down a bit depending on
air pressure and external temp
but eventually will settle down
a bit of steam out of the exhaust is nothing
1 gallon of fuel = 1 pint of water
more noticable when it is cold outside
cheers
