I finally did it. After something like two years since I first got the idea, I've traded in the P38A Range Rover for a Discovery II. Newer and shinier, with a Td5 instead messing around with LPG.

More about the swap on my website (http://www.cunningham.me.uk/wordpress/?cat=34).

Best of luck Andy - you obviously put a lot of research into the change
Oddly enough I went the other way - changing from TD5 Disco to 4.6 V8 P38
Each to their own I suppose - it would be a very boring world if we were all the same

Its a good looking motor mate just add mud for fun.The td5 a great power plant you will love it
-
Nice car, the TD5 is excellent and Disco II's are pretty good too :)
-
if its like ours you will love it.
We get 32 mpg on the motorway with caravan in tow.
Dont loose the keys as 2 new locks and 4 door handles (what is known as a lock set) fitted will set you back the best part of 600 notes.
We had ours changed on insurance as some lowlife who broke into our house took the spare set.

My previous knowledge of the P38A gives me a good appreciation of the complexities of the security. Good thing the insurance paid up, though!

:D Very pretty! I went reluctantly from my beloved V8 RRCs to a Disco II and I absolutely love my Td5!!
