Title: Spray Paint Removal
Post by: kuli1985 on March 25, 2007, 17:00:50
Does anybody have any suggestions of how to remove spray paint from car paint as some little s**t has decided to give my car a new paint job.  As cheap as possible, as i dont fancy paying my insurance excess!

Thanks in advance

You need to "Clay" the car, it should remove it all, be careful.

You can but a complete "Clay" kit from Meguires

http://www.motosave.co.uk/motosave/html/meguiar_s.html

scroll down to "quick clay detailing system"

spray the grafiti, then rub the clay over it, don't let it bind, if you feel friction spray more

If that doenst do it you can use a clay from Sonus, they do various grades!

Try www.cleanandshiny.co.uk

Hope that helps

Good old 'T' cut should do the trick or even 'brasso', as most spray cans are only cellulose based,

Try it on an inconspicuous place first, it only works if you have 2 pack paint on the car already, anything else will be removed as well as the bits you are trying to take off

Brasso/Duraglit always works for me - removes permanent marker pen too
