In reality, I'm very shy, retiring & polite, as those who have met me will verify(http://www.landroveraddict.com/smf/Smileys/default/whistling2.gif)
However, in 'cyber-space', I can possibly show a slightly more exuberant side to my personality (http://www.landroveraddict.com/smf/Smileys/default/s24.gif)
So, without further ado.
I've had a bit of a move around on my 'www'
At the moment, I'm allowed to upload up to 27,500 images & presently (only) have about 2,300 on-line
However, as I was given to understand upon last questioning my limits & the number of albums allowed, I was told the limit was only 150 albums(http://www.landroveraddict.com/smf/Smileys/default/bawling.gif)
Now that's not a lot to hold the (theoretical) maximum upload quota, so..... I've shifted things around a bit & amalgamated some albums into one another.
If you're looking for something I've previously linked to in the forums, please accept my apologies, as the links may no longer work (http://www.landroveraddict.com/smf/Smileys/default/sorry.gif)
If they don't, please tell me & I'll try to sort it out & 're-link' the image in question
To paraphrase the usual Customer Service phrase;
'Please Accept My Apologies For Any Inconvenience Caused'
(requests for compensation will be ignored :wink: )
I try to introduce new content as often as possible, even if it's only a couple of images a week.
There's quite a mixture of areas covered, including;
Yorkshire
Landies
Traction Engines
Yorkshire
Cars
Trucks
Cycling (my 'younger days' :wink: )
Architecture
Yorkshire
Plus many, many, more.
There's even some albums from other counties! :shock:
Any way have a browse round & let me know what you think.
One browser (on 'another forum') commented thus;
I've already started browsing..... and I'm well impressed with the quality of the pictures
Since beginning the site, I've received over 162,500 'hits', I'll bet plenty of commercial sites would be pleased to get that many
Everyone's welcome, even the Lancastrians :wink:
Plea;
If anyone has any photos of their Landie (or one they've seen elsewhere) that they would like me to include (with a credit), please contact me.
I'm especially interested in extending the 50th Anniversary albums & need more pctures taken at show, or out on the road (especially of Range Rovers, as they're very rare beasties),'Heritages', 'Tomb Raiders', Centaurs, Cuthbertsons, etc........

I think this has been mentioned elsewhere previously :? (sports thread?)
As the accompanying text states, it was more to do with rush-hour commuting & my route home crossing a major south Leeds junction with the M1 than any kind of liking for the rainbow leggings
(although I think I bought them from a rock-climbing shop, as they were made by Troll)

:(biglaugh): They don't have a rolling on the floor laughing smiley Richard or I would have used that instead :lol:

must say though cyclo cross looks more fun than singletracking it
i put road tyres (kenda kwest) on my mtb for the jaunt to paris and christ does it make a difference but i made the mistake of trying to cycle away from my son on the garden and i went nowhere quick :roll:

Helen, you mean like this one I pinched from, erm... elsewhere; (http://www.landroveraddict.com/smf/Smileys/default/mi7.gif)
Oh come on now, you know I'm exactly as it says above (particularly the polite, & indeed 'proper' too)

Whilst Mountain Bike racing was 'fun', Cyclo-Cross was hard, especially when using my Pace.
I think for a long time I used 1.5" Specialised Ground Control(?), or HardPack(?) & the difference in weight & rolling resistance between a MTB & a 'crosser was phenomenal.
Once I bought a proper Cyclo-Cross bike, my riding was even faster.

Just scanned (& added) a few more old photos into the cycling album.

I will agree you are indeed polite even in the most trying circumstances :wink: but shy and retiring???? I don't believe it for one minute........ and I have met you on several occasions don't forget :D

Yes, shy & retiring (once again..... honest!)
I had to force myself to be as exuberant as I was with Johnty, the girls & you.
Plus, not forgetting; well-read, well mannered, charming (??)
I could go on.............

Where??" he said jumping off the sofa and dashing to my lap top to see "Ah, fame at last!" were his words as he looked at the pic........... I don't think I have ever seen him move so quick :wink:

It looks like I'll be having to start a separate album for your menagerie soon :lol:
(http://www.landroveraddict.com/smf/Smileys/default/s24.gif)
Do you know, I don't think there's a picture of your 90 in it.
I'll have to rectify that soon.

Oi!
Living in Wales now, but originally a Lancastrian! It's bad enough being persecuted for being English, nevermind Lancastrian ;)

'Tee-hee'
That was intially aimed at one of the members where my initial posting first appeared, as he's Yorkshire born, but is currently doing missionary work near Oldham (he's on here as well, & knows who he is, don't you Andy??)
Someone's got to look after those poor unfortunates :lol:
Seriously though;
Lancashire's provided us with some good people.
Fred Dibnah
Carl Fogarty
Andy Kershaw (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/presenters/andy_kershaw.shtml)
Mark Radcliffe (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/radcliffe/)
Stuart Maconie (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/maconie/)
Mike Harding (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/r2music/folk/harding/)
And erm?............................
-
Oldham's where I'm from :P
Which incidentally has provided quite a few decent people itself! :P
Sir William Walton
Sir Winston Churchill, Oldham was his first constituency
Eric Sykes
Mike Atherton
Insprial Carpets
Mark Owen from Take That (ok possibly that one works against us)
Philip Schofield
Christopher Biggins
Warren Clarke (Dalziel in Dalziel and Pascoe, was also in A Clockwork Orange)
...and a few others! Plus apparently we gave the world the tubular bandage, and Indiana Jones' hat!

Doesn't the same comment that accompanies Mark Owen go for these as well??

Well hopefully the eldest will be leaving us in September...... I am sure I will miss her but ah........ the bliss :D She currently sleeps in the loft and is directly above us so we here every time she turns over and if she drops anything from more than a height of 3 inches it sounds like the roof is caving in :shock:

Cars, trucks, Landies, bikes, milestones :shock: , etc.....
Enjoy, as always :wink:
