Why does it take so long to transfere money from a PayPal account, to a current account?

Surely PayPal knows that the money is there, and good to go immediately?

they suspend the money and earn interest on it, imagine 10,000 people transfering the amount that you are, thats a lot of interest every day!

Nope, when I sold a Zuke last year I transfered £750 out of my Paypal Account and it took a lifetime, Its just the way it is!
