Post by: Colin 009 on November 22, 2004, 17:46:40
Hi all,

I'm about to service my V8  and wondered if theres a list somewhere of parts required,

The service I'm doing is a 12.000mile its done 70,000.

Anyone recommend a supplier (who'll discount a member of the DOC).

Don't have a service list to hand, but I can recommend Mansfield Motors for the bits.

Generally decent quality parts (not all imported pattern rubbish), and helpful if you have questions.

Got all the bits to rebuild my rear axle from them just recently.

Certainly, the oil filter should be a recognised make. Just not worth the risk of fitting a cheapie one. Also, buy Lucas points (if you need them!). Had some issues with other makes in the past. Although it is now getting less and less likely you will get Lucas parts in a Lucas box. They are buying in imported parts and putting them in their boxes.
