In 1997 i built a series 2a on a disco chassis, and fitted a 300 tdi, Ive regretted selling her ever since, Had a phone call from an old apprentice of mine saying" mick guess whats up for sale? bessie" so i had to go see, and yes it was like seeing an old girlfriend again, 10 years on, shes been worked hard, took her for a spin, still pulls like a train, little bit slacker than i remember but nothing a full rebuilt wont sort out, so i got her back at last, all i can say is fate is real and this was ment to be, Im a very happy chappy, got many happy memories due to this landy,

I hate to be the one to say this and I'm suprised that no-one has already, but if the vehicle has a Disco chassis and a 300tdi engine then the tax exemption doesn't apply anymore, or am I fooled into thinking this.
Having said that she looks great, I'd certainly love to drive that little beaut around.
-
hey shes been tax free for the last 10 years so may it continue  collected her tonite, cant wait to get started

A priest asked,
What is Fate, Master?
And he answered:
It is that which gives a beast of burden its reason for existence.
It is that which men in former times had to bear upon their backs.
It is that which has caused nations to build by-ways from City to City upon which carts and coaches pass, and alongside which inns have come to be built to stave off Hunger, Thirst and Weariness.
It is that which has caused great fleets of ships to ply the Seven Seas wherever the wind blows.
And that is Fate? said the priest.
Fate... I thought you said Freight, responded the Master.
That's all right, said the priest. I wanted to know what Freight was too.
