Title: Not sure what these buttons do...
Post by: JimsMowing on April 01, 2007, 23:22:34
Ever since i bought my Disco i have wondered what SET/RES do on my steering wheel, with plus and minus (assuming they alter radio stations but they have no effect)

And next to the fog light switch there is a button that looks like a dual carridgeway symble with a line through it.

Can anyone shed any light for me please?

the set button drops a land mine out of the rear. res is the remote detonator for said land mines, while + and - alters the timer for them!

the dual carriageway type button sets cruise mode and ejects the roof, leaving you free to aim and fire at persuing villains.

Ha Ha Ha!! If only it droped mines...theres so many people out there that need bombing...the persistant tail-gator has to be on a 300th sec timer!!

Well it would appear then that the cruise control doesnt work. Nothing really happens when i press it whilst driving. Is there a set procedure to get it to work?

First switch the dual carraigway symbol'd switch so that it is lit.. then.. as long as your over 38mph... press the set/res switch... the car should maintain the speed itself.

If you touch the brake or the clutch it will automatically be disengaged.

If you press the + symbol it speeds up I think by 3mph pree press.. similar for - but opposite direction!

Other than that... enjoy it!

If it doesn't do anything still... probably the vacum pump has failed or more likely the tubing from the vacum pump to the diaphragm (Kinda cup shaped rubber thing by throttle linkage) is leaking.

The radio/cd buttons are on the dash the bottom row either side of the wheel.
