Title: Bump stops?
Post by: Colin 009 on November 23, 2004, 15:16:14
Hi All, what should the ones fitted on rear of a discovery look like?

Should they be cone shaped coming to a point or just a rectangular block.

The pointy stops are a bit more progressive than the good old fashioned lumps of rubber, and as such are a bit easier on the old bones if you happen to use them.

I seem to recall that my 200tdi had the blocks on it rather than the cones though, so it might be a 200 / 300 change.

My 200 1993 just before the 300 change has blocks.
So the change more than likely occured post 1993.

might change the bumpstops on the racer since the pointy1s are more progressive

Once again, thanks guys.

I can always count on someone on this Forum to come up with the goods or point me in the right direction.

Thanks
