Hello all,
New to this forum, and have my first question of no doubt many to come. I have a light bar on its way to me, and was wondering how and where the wires from the spots go, and how do they enter the car, do I have to drill a hole in the roof, thats how dim I am hence the need for a lightbar?

Get yourself a snorkel and run the wiring down that :lol:

there is a wiring diagram in the kit, for gods sake dont start drilling holes in your roof or your landy will leak even more.
like he said snorkels are good for hiding cables otherwise i managed to push them in the windscreen rubber.
thats the only awquad bit really getting the cable neatly and safely from top of wing to roof.
there is also that flexi blak conduit you could use with stick on mountings, they are pretty good.

hi, another way which i have done, was to go to the local electrical shop were you can get sticky pads that have recesses for cable ties, wrap the wires in one bind with insulation tape and then secure to the screen via the cable ties and stickers. cheers pegleg66

There is also a space on the windscreen rubber to tuck the wire under. Best way is a grommet and some sikaflex with a small hole. Neat and tidy. I used a boat type plug on the shogun as these are waterproof and you can run wires below interior light.
They are not cheap @ around £12 but they look pro and do the job well.
You will need a decent 4 pin relay (or 2 depending on the wattage of lights), a switch and some decnt 2 core wire (3 core if using powerfull lights) + a decent waterproof fuse holder.

If you are running a diesel it'll probably have to go on the passanger side... but whatever works for you.
One tip... use lots of jointing cement to ensure an air/water tight seal.

Get some wire wrap (or insulation tape), run all the wires up the side of the rubber strip and use cable ties to secure.
Terminate your wires at roof level with crimped connectors, this saves you having to unwire the lot if you need to remove the roof bar. Cover them with oodles of ins tape.
Dont forget you will need relays and fuses.
