Title: bonnet release handle
Post by: Bob696 on November 24, 2004, 20:35:10: OK this is is going to make me feel like an idiot but I am going to ask it anyway.

I just pulled the bonnet release handle off, how the flip do I get it back on :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:
I have got 3 seperate manuals and non of them even mention it except to say you pull it to open the bonnet and I was bloody doing that already!!!!

Yours annoyed, embarressed, peed off

Couldn't work out a way of getting it back on, so I bought a new cable. They're not everso expensive from Paddocks, and only took about 10 minutes to fix (I'd got the grill off already so I could open the bonnet, so that saved all of 2 minutes!!!)

Make sure you lubricate the catch mechanism regularly when you do replace the cable...

Post by: Bob696 on November 24, 2004, 20:53:55: cheers guys ..... now I have calmed down a bit and am no longer in the mood to start bending aluminam, it makes sense to change it. Cheapest I can find localy is Ã‚Â£7 from BLRS but thats not so bad if I dont have to pay for postage
