Which I think is this.

ETC8530         BREATHER ASSY 2.5 DIESEL TURBO 90/110           More Info         Ã‚£ 6.02                  Select Item

So what is this?

Both items are from Craddocks web site#

The second part number is the twin pipe version...
The first number AFAIK is the single pipe type as per the EBay advert.

Depends which type is fitted to your LR??

Why are you replacing the whole cap?? - Usually a good wash in petrol will clean it out, and you can buy new rubber seals for where it goes into the rocker cover.

I have fitted a new seal, clean it out in a kero bath and its still leaking oil, so i am going to replace the whole thing, see if that works.

I need to replace the rocker gasket too.

it won't be leaking you got crank pressure like mine did took the engine out yesterday replacing it with a 200 tdi. You may need to replace oil rings on the pistons if it is blowing oil out of the breather.

if its heavy breathing (as it sounds) you could allways disconnect the pipe where it joins the air intake (plug that hole) and add some extra pipe and route it down into your chassis somewhere....this has 2 benefits......1. it'll save changing your air filter every 8 miles and 2. it'll keep your chassis nicely covered in a thin film of oil preventing the rustworm invading

DISCLAIMER....this advice has been shamelessly stolen from another forum and in no way suggests that this user is anything other than thick as pig poo

Funnily enough I have a relative that may or may not have set up Brownchurch, and his suggestion was along those lines where you just bolt a collection can somewhere and run the hose to that, can't have it dripping onto the road thats naughty    but it is why you may see some old beer cans attached to older engines, all you need to do is empty it every now and again. Or just recycle back into the engine
Or you could just run it to the chassis, I like both ideas and will be playing with them soon as sick of changing the filter when I don't really need to.

The breather hose on my 90 hasn't been connected to the air filter since I fitted the engine nearly 18 months ago. The hose just drops down by the side of the bulkhead, it doesn't appear to lose any oil from it either. I guess any light oil just runs on to the panel and stays there, never seen any drips from it though.
