Title: Inlet manifold / coolant
Post by: Mighty_zuke on April 11, 2007, 10:06:16
I'm loosinig coolant out of a hole at the back of the inlet manifold. Its underneath at the back. I think it may just be a plug as there are no obvious pipes that go to it. The nice man at suzuki doesnt have a clue what its for.... Any ideas?

I forgot, d'oh, only remebered looking at it this morning.

There should be a hex-plug in the maifold at the bottom of the thermostat housing.

Ok, Thanks for that. I will have a look to see if thats it, Though I am convinced that this hole is further back on the inlet manifold not the thermastat housing. But I have been on the Magners since I last looked so it could be anywhere!!!!

I have wondered what this is for before as a result of doing my radiator R&I.  I figured it may well be a bleed plug for the cooling system but I didn't want to remove it without being sure!

Thinking about it I'm sure the heater feed is at the other end, your heater working ok?

Ok, Seen the pic and thats not the bit I'm on about. I'll try and get a photo during the week! The hole is facing down on the underside of the inlet manifold for the piston closest to the bulkhead! Doesnt seem rusty at all!

This is where on the manifold the hole is, But underneath. I have to climb under the zuke with my head behind the off side wheel to see it!
