Title: ABS light on.
Post by: Matbrown on April 16, 2007, 00:00:11
Having a temperamental problem with my abs light at the mo.
When i first drive the car and its cold the abs light will stay on, if i park up and come back to make another journey the light will go out.
Would i be right in thinking that this might be a bearing on the way out?

A good chance yes but also a senser working it's way out of the hub, try reseating them.

Also a blink test will tell you if there have been any intermittant faults, then you'll know which corner, it could just be mud.

I have tried doing a blink test before but could not find the blue plug.

I had the same problem with my disco, i eventually found it by removing the cover under the drivers side fuse box in the footwell, the leads to the plug were very long and it was tucked in the very lowest right hand side. Sorry best explanation i can give, but hope it helps.

What are these blink tests??  My car has this exact problem but I have just put it down to the sensors not being seated properly but recently they have been going on and off intermittantly with the ignition
